February 2013 High Level USOC Britek meeting request for all Olympic Cycling Venues to go "Airless" 2016 Sumer Games. The prevention of Olympic Medal loss due to the "Flat Tire" has become a real possibility. Athletes deserve better than the most common mode of Cycling Venue Medal loss...Tire failure. Olympic Testing of Britek High Speed Airless tires will begin Summer 2014.
Soon after a 2012 December Britek visit from Olympic coach Scott Schnitzspahn, Senior Sports Technologist Ph.D Mounur Zok requested a February 2013 meeting at US Olympic Headquarters in Colorado Springs. The meeting was held between Summer and Winter Olympic Games directors and Britek representatives Brian A Russell, Sons Kirk Russell, Kevin Russell and Britek Attorney Michael Zywicki.
Some of those in attendance were Mounir Zok- Ph.D, Scott Riewald Ph.D - High Performance Director, Coaches Scott Schnitzspahn, Catherine Sellers and others discussing the possibilities of the testing and utilization of Brian A Russell inventions for Olympic competition. Catherine Sellers Paralympic coach informed us of the difficulties of Paralympic athletes requirement to "Change their own flat tires". A very tough situation indeed.
Of greatest concern was the potential 2 medal losses during the 2012 London Games Cycling venues due to flat tires. "A situation that should not be repeated in future Olympic Games". ERW high Speed Airless could be the Athletes best friend in future Olympic Cycling Venues.
